China dumping antimony trioxide-1994

JIEFU antimony trioxide WASHINGTON -- Chinese exports of refined antimony trioxide are being sold in the United States at less than fair value, the Department of Commerce said last week in a preliminary decision.

The estimated weighted-average dumping margin for all Chinese manufacturers, producers and exporters is 3.18 percent.

As a result of the agency's preliminary finding, the Customs Service will require a cash deposit or bond equal to the 3.18-percent dumping margin on all antimony trioxide imports from China.

The agency is expected to make its final determination by Dec. 16. If that decision is affirmative, the International Trade Commission will have 45 days to decide whether the imports materially injure, or threaten to injure, the U.S. antimony trioxide industry.
Imports of antimony trioxide from China in 1990 were valued at $7.8 million.

Crude antimony trioxide was excluded from the investigation, according to a Commerce press statement.
