Hindustan Zinc hikes zinc, lead prices
Hindustan Zinc Ltd., India's largest zinc producer by volume, has increased its zinc price by Rs 1,200 a metric ton to Rs 161,600/ton with immediate effect, the company said in a statement Saturday.
Hindustan Zinc also raised its lead price by Rs 500/ton to Rs 97,000/ton, the statement said.
This is the second increase in lead price by the company over the past days. On Thursday Hindustan Zinc, a unit of London-listed Vedanta Resources PLC, posted a 2.2 percent hike in lead prices to Rs 96,500/ton.
